What You Need Before You Start

Before installing any IPTV app on your Firestick you need three things:

  • An active IPTV Nords subscription — your welcome email contains your M3U URL and Xtream Codes credentials
  • A stable internet connection of at least 12 Mbps
  • Five minutes of your time

Step 1 — Enable Apps from Unknown Sources

Most IPTV apps are not available directly on the Amazon App Store, so you need to tell your Firestick that it is allowed to install apps from other sources. This is a one-time setting.

  1. Press the Home button on your remote
  2. Go to Settings (the gear icon at the top right)
  3. Select My Fire TV
  4. Tap Developer Options
  5. Toggle Apps from Unknown Sources to ON
  6. Confirm when prompted

Tip: On older Firestick models this setting may be under Settings → Device → Developer Options instead of My Fire TV.

Step 2 — Install the Downloader App

Downloader is a free app available directly in the Amazon App Store. It works like a browser and lets you download APK files — the installation packages for Android apps — directly to your Firestick.

  1. Go back to the Firestick home screen
  2. Tap the Search icon (magnifying glass)
  3. Type Downloader and press select
  4. Choose the orange Downloader app by AFTVnews
  5. Tap Get or Download — it is completely free
  6. Wait for it to install, then open it

Step 3 — Download and Install Your IPTV App

  1. Open Downloader and type the APK URL or shortcode for your chosen app
  2. Tap Go and wait for the download to complete
  3. When prompted tap Install

  5. Go back in Downloader and delete the APK file to free up storage

Important: Only download APK files from official sources. Never use random third-party APK websites as they can contain modified or unsafe software.

Step 4 — Add Your IPTV Nords Playlist

Now open your IPTV app and add your subscription details. In IPTV Smarters Pro:

  1. Open the app and tap Add New User
  2. Select Login with Xtream Codes API
  3. Enter a name (for example: IPTV Nords)
  4. Enter your Username, Password and Server URL from your welcome email
  5. Tap Add User
  6. Wait 10–30 seconds while your 19,000 channels load

Step 5 — Start Watching

Once channels have loaded you can browse Live TV by category, access Movies and Series, and use the EPG (Electronic Programme Guide) to see what is on. Use the search function to quickly find any channel by name.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

If you run into problems during setup, here are the most common fixes:

  • App will not install — double-check that Unknown Sources is toggled ON in Developer Options
  • Channels not loading — verify your Username, Password and Server URL are copied exactly from the welcome email with no extra spaces
  • Buffering — check your internet speed. IPTV requires a stable 12 Mbps minimum. Try connecting your Firestick via ethernet adapter for a more stable connection
